Time Out For Women Weekend Photos

We had a lot of fun last weekend at the Time Out For Women Conference in Seattle! If anyone read my mom's blog you would hear quite another side of the storybut here are the pictures of our adventurious weekend. the conference was held at the Seattle Symphony Hall. It was beautiful. I tried to get a good picture of the stage but the camera wouldn't really adjust. We stayed at this beautiful hotel called the Fairmont. It was a block away from the Symphony Hall so we had to walk in the Seattle rain a lot. Luckily we had some extra change for the cab. The last day we were given 80 minutes for lunch. I thought we were closer to the pier than we were so I led my mom and Rachael on a treasure hunt through the Pike Place market. On the way we met a clown doing balloon animals, some fresh produce and flowers, and finally a secret hidden restaurant up above the Pier called the Chez Shea (Che-Che) it was beautiful and over looked the Pier. It was so much fun and I think we will make plans to return next year now that we know our way around. But on the home we hit a little snow and my mom did very well making it through the pass until we got to North Bend and got lost trying to find the outlet malls. But we found them got some good deals and made it home!

Dumb Dog Part Two ( read part one below)

So I left the story last night with the dog locked in the car. Well, Kyle made it home in record speed to come help his helpless wife. He grabbed a bat( I told him to get his gun) but the caveman in him wanted to fight it with his bare hands. So he opened the door and the thing ran off. Kyle couldn't catch it. So he jumped in his car and followed it to find out where it lived. It ran forever and he never found out where it lived. So he came back home and went into play practice. About 9:30 I was sitting on the couch watching tv when I heard something on the porch. I looked out and there was the stupid dog!! It saw me peek out and it started jumping up on the window and scratching at the door! Barking and whimpering to let it in!!! I think his name is KOJO! So I called Kyle and told him to be prepared when he got home because the dog was outside. I sat there for another hour while it barked and whimpered and scratched at the door. When Kyle got home it ran away when it saw him. So Kyle came inside and made a nice "treat" of D-Con and hotdogs for him and set it on the porch. So if it returned it would have something nice and tasty to eat...the "treat" was gone this morning and I haven't seen the dog yet.

Who is it that serves and protects?!?

We got home this afternoon to find a pitbull sitting out in our yard! No collar and it was dirty and mangy. I called 911 to notify them that a wild dog was sitting out side my house and the kids were to terrified to get out of the car. While the dispatcher was on the phone I rolled down the window to yell at it and to tell it to get away. Well what happened next i will never forget! It full on charged our car and before Katelin could get the window up it jumped and clawed the side of the car until it could get in!!! What was a mother suppose to do when a 150 pound pit bull is loose in your car with your children. Cody and Weston jumped out but Katelin had jumped into the back and Savannah was still strapped in her car seat!!! I don't know how I did it it was all a blur but I somehow Katelin and Savannah in my arms so fast!!! We hurried and shut the doors and locked it inside. Luckily the dispatcher was still on the other line. She had heard everything. She said she was sending someone out right away. Well 10 minutes later no one showed up but instead I got a nice call from the Grant County Sheriff letting me know that there was nothing they could do we were out of Animal Control's jurisdiction. He continued to tell me that all I could do was open the door and let him go!!!!! I said what if he bites me or one of my kids could I shoot him? He said no. So I am very frustrated!! As we speak a pit bull sits in my car and there is nothing I can do about it!

Weekend from H-E-double hockey sticks!

So this was suppose to be a terrific three day weekend! But on Friday morning Cody woke up letting me know he was not feeling good. So he stayed in his pajamas all day and laid around. Passing it off as mild cold. By that evening he was running a temperature and a runny nose. So I kept giving him the recommended dosage of Children's cold medicine. About 1:30 in the morning I was awoken by Cody screaming. I rushed to the couch where he had been sleeping. A fever was causing him to hallucinate. He thought he was seeing scary men in the house! I could not get him to wake up. All the comotion had woken his dad up and the rest of the kids. He thought his dad was a bad guy so he kept hitting him and screaming for him to get away. So Kyle picked him up and threw him in the shower and ran the water. It did the trick and he woke up. That was sooo scary for me to have to watch Cody not being able to justify imagination from reality. After he woke up and we got him into dry clothes I held him on the couch while he just cried because he still had the feelings that it had been real. So over the next couple of hours his condition became better. His fever seemed to be getting better and the next morning he wanted to go out and play. But I made him stay inside. He seemed to be doing really well all day. Before he went to sleep though I gave him some children's tylenol to keep his fever down while he slept. But again in the middle of the night I was again woken up by Cody having another fever and attack of hallucinations. The scary men were back and they had taken Katelin. This time he wouldn't even let me touch him. So his dad again picked him up and threw him in the shower. It did the trick again. So this time we put in a movie and stayed up the rest of the night and watched it. I don't know when we fell asleep but i woke up about 5 with Cody screaming, This time it wasn't a hallucination it was a huge headache. So I ran to get the tylenol but I didn't even make it to the kitchen when his nose and mouth started just gushing out blood. Now I started to panic! What was going on with my child? So I threw him in the car and took off to the emergency room. I drove straight to the urgent care but they couldn't see him until 9 am. So I went to the store and bought out the entire shelf of child care medicine from vapor rub to peppermint tea. Took him home and administered to him myself. Everything seemed to work and by the afternoon he was feeling better. Kyle had gone to church and told his friends what Cody had been going through and they said their kids had had the sane thing this last week so they came over to see him. Sure enough he had the same symptoms of Influenza A. Last night I just stayed by his side. He only woke up once to ask for some water and tylenol. But every time he moved I got nervous for another round of hallucinations. He still has a fever this morning and a cough with a sore throat but I think he's going to be just fine. We are both just exhausted!

The need's of a woman...

you know it's time for a vacation when the laundry is a mountain high, the dishes are piled to the ceiling and you can't find the energy anymore to care. So my Mom, Rachael and I are heading to Seattle this weekend to go and enjoy the 2009 Time Out For Women Conference. Yeah! I feel guilty for leaving Kyle with the kids and the housekeeping responsibilites but I think it will do more good than harm. Quite honestly I am pooped and need a break! I am so excited!!

bachelor fans go to...

"Realitysteve24" on you tube

The Internet is a wonderful thing!

So you can find anything about anything on the internet. So I was sneaking around one day on you tube and came upon a facinating discovery. So here it is...Jason choose Molly from the very beginning. He never really even chose Melissa. But that wouldn't make a very interesting ending to the story so ABC decided to pay Jason, Melissa and Molly BIG money to act out a very different ending. It's all written out. Molly and Jason have been dating for quite some time now. His proposal to Melissa was staged and acted out. She never really even got hurt. It's all an act. Now they have a great story line to start 2009's Bachelorette. And guess what...it's already staged too. It's like Soap Opera's. I remember when Bob was trying to win Trista's heart. Oh we all fell in love with Bob. And then do you remember what he did at the end of his Bachelor show? He didn't propose to anyone! Do you remember what hit the media after that? He said he was told what to do and what to say every minute of the show. Nothing was real it was all a set up. But if you want to follow the drama Ellen Degeneres is having Melissa on the show on Thursday and Jason and Molly will be on her show on Friday. And let me tell you today she was not happy with Jason so I can't wait to watch her chew him out on Friday!
Happy TV watching everyone! What would we do with out reality tv!
